We want to wish everyone a happy holiday season! This art was created by a young student who participated in our ArtLink Program in 2004. The title of this piece is "Thanksgiving Day Parade" by Gena M. age 9 from Armonk, New York, USA. She describes her piece: "My tradition is watching the Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City. In my scene, they are holding a Snoopy balloon, as they are walking down the street. I chose this scene, because it is fun and exciting to be at the parade."

Here are two of our classes partnered through our Artlink Program. One class is from Illinois, USA. The other is from Senegal, Africa.
Please go to CulturExchange to view more of their wonderful photographs. Enjoy seeing both classes working on creating their art to send to each other.

We are thrilled to welcome members of the Higher Order of Thinking (HOT) school community for a presentation about our ArtLink and Rainforest ArtLink Programs on Monday November 7, 2011 at their Leadershop. We endorse and value “The HOT approach [as it] is reflected in a school’s commitment to child centered, experiential, arts integrated teaching and learning. In an arts infused environment…” We believe our programs meet many of their goals and objectives, in particular by, “creating opportunities for students to express themselves artistically within the academic curriculum.”Artwork: “The Work of Water” by Blanca, England

Winter arrived early leaving lots of snow all over Connecticut.

This art piece was created in our ArtLink Program where students create art projects designed to reflect their life and culture which are then exchanged with a partner class in a different country. ArtLink is an adventure in cross-cultural discovery!
