Free In service Workshop - Exploring World Culture Through Art
Friday, April 27, 2012 11:24 AM
We will be holding a free in service workshop on exploring world culture through art on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 9:00am - 12:00 noon. This workshop is for upper elementary and middle school educators to learn to use primary source artwork to enhance student understanding of subject matter including other world cultures, world history and the environment. We invite you to become a "cultural detective" by examining student art from around the world. We will also be offering the opportunity to experience videoconferencing with a classroom located in the heart of the Guatemalan rainforest.
This workshop will be held at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Mathews Park, 303 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06850.
CEU's will be offered.
Discounts on our programs will be offered to those who attend.

20th Anniversary Gala

Last night we celebrated our twenty year anniversary at a wonderful event attended by about 100 guests. Everyone enjoyed the silent auction, and a delicious sit down dinner catered by Marcia Selden Catering and Event Planning (www.marciaselden.com) ending with anniversary cakes lit with sparklers paraded through the dining room! A highlight of the evening was an amazing performance by the
Tigh Na Colille Band and Dancers seen in this wonderful photo. Thank you to everyone who helped make this night so incredibly special and a very successful fund raiser.
